While the two showed sportsmanship and solidarity, Miss Myanmar, who was initially called as second runner-up raised brows after crying and showing her visible frustration with the results.

At the time, Myanmar's National Director Htoo Ant Lwin also snatched her crown and sash to protest against the title, leading the team to leave early without completing the interviews post-event.

In a live broadcast, the 18-year-old Thae who was labeled by netizens "Drama Queen," took to a live broadcast to inform everyone that she opted not to accept the crown.

"I don't need the second runner-up position... I came to win first place and I believe that I am worthy of a higher position."

While she clarified that she has nothing against her co-beauty queens, she refused to wear a crown that her country doesn't deserve, then mentioned the special titles; National Costume Awards and Country's Power of the Year that she also failed to take home.

Here, Thae insisted that her fellow Burmese worked hard to secure the two mentioned awards, but in the end Brazil, Ecuador, and Honduras won the costume award while Thailand brought home the bacon for the latter.

In a live, Htoo also exposed Nawat, the CEO of MGI trying to sell the crown for $25,000, which Nawat immediately dismissed.

On Oct. 28th, Mr. Nawat officially accepted Thae Su Nyein's decision to leave MGI, calling her "immature" and "delusional."
