Not only TikTokers are raving over Rejuran— a South Korean facial injection using Salmon sperm — but Kim Kardashian and Jen Aniston are also fans. 

On TikTok, Dr. Joyce Kahng, the owner of O+M Dental Studio went viral with half a million views after sharing her journey of getting Rejuran or salmon sperm DNA injections. 

In the comment section, hundreds of curious netizens asked what it is and how it works, and upon research, Rejuran originated from South Korea. 

According to Haute Living, this procedure does not inject salmon sperm directly into the skin but only uses its DNA that contains polydeoxyribonucleotides (PDRNs). 

Since this is 96.5 percent similar to the human DNA, it claims to boost collagen production by repairing the tissues, as well as help in alleviating inflammation & hyperpigmentation. 

Regarding how it works, the DNA is injected directly into the deeper layer of the skin or the dermis through a specialized gun or micro-injections.

While it leaves tiny visible bumps upon treatment, this pain is worth it as noticeably fewer wrinkles, fine lines, aging spots and more will be experienced after about 3 weeks.

The treatment is only available in clinics and should be administered by trained practitioners. This beauty treatment is already spreading in Asia, and America, and as per ELLE, it also reached Australia.

Previously, Kim Kardashian revealed in their family reality show, The Kardashians that she will be trying this treatment in July. Jennifer Aniston also got this treatment in 2023, but the research about its effectiveness is still in development.
