Dyson has introduced Chitosan, its first-ever wet styling range, catering to its consumers' need for pre- and post-styling products.

The company launched the Dyson Chitosan Pre-Style Cream and Post-Style Serum, which are designed to be used alongside its famous Airwrap.

This marks a huge leap for the U.K.-based hardware company, which was originally known for its vacuum cleaners. Over the years, Dyson ventured into the haircare world, offering numerous styling tools, including blow dryers, curlers, straighteners, and more.

This time, the brand added liquid hair styling products to its offerings and launched Chitosan, a line named after its key ingredient, a complex macromolecule derived from oyster mushrooms.

Along with this hero component, Dyson also formulated the range using its triodetic technology to offer "flexible, all-day hold" and "natural movement and shine" for the hair, according to a press release.

"Our engineers have rigorously tested to find the optimum percentage of chitosan for all-day, flexible hold while maintaining natural movement," said Kathleen Pierce, Dyson's president of beauty.

The new line is set to have five products, but the brand revealed just two of them so far: the Dyson Chitosan Pre-Style Cream and Post-Style Serum.

Dyson Chitosan Pre-Style Cream

The Pre-Style Cream primes and conditions the hair for styling. It also helps lessen frizz by up to 50% and protects the hair from 80% relative humidity.

It is available in four formulas addressing consumers' different hair types -- Straight to Wavy (Light and Rich Conditioning) and Curly to Coily (Light and Rich Conditioning) -- which both help nourish the hair.

For hair that is easily weighed down, the Straight to Wavy Light Conditioning and Curly to Coily Light Conditioning formulas are the most suitable.

Dyson Chitosan Post-Style Serum

After drying and styling the hair, the Post-Style Serum is a must for locking in one's look for the rest of the day and giving it a hydrated, and shiny finish. To keep the hair moisturized, the formula of this product includes hyaluronic acid, which improves hydration, and an amino acid blend to repair signs of damage to the hair cuticle.
