Dolce & Gabbana is bringing its fragrance game to the next level by launching Fefé, its first luxury perfume exclusively for dogs.
Dog lover and entrepreneur Domenico Dolce came up with this idea to honor the unconditional love of his real-life loyal companion, Fefé.
Master perfumer Emilie Copperman developed the fragrance, and its formula was approved by the Safe Pet Cosmetics protocol.
In a statement issued by Dolce & Gabbana, the brand attested to dog enthusiasts that the product follows standards and protocols to ensure animal safety.
"Through a Compliance Recognition to this protocol granted by Bureau Veritas Italia, participating companies demonstrate their sensitivity in creating products that ensure the safety and respect of the animal in accordance with established standards," the brand said.
According to its official website, Fefé is an "alcohol-free scented mist." This guarantees that the product is safe for dogs' skin and eyes while bringing them long-lasting gentle and delicate scents for a playful beauty routine throughout the day.
The fragrance opens with notes of ylang-ylang, combined with musk as its heart and sandalwood as the base note, giving a warm, clean, and woody cream scent.
Fefé is available at Dolce & Gabbana for the retail price of $108. The fragrance comes in a green lacquered bottle with a red cap as well as a 24-carat gold-plated paw as its centerpiece, aligning with the brand's signature colors.
Anyone who purchases this luxury perfume will also receive an exclusive dog collar. Dolce & Gabbana offers an engraving service, and a four-letter name or word can be directly carved in a golden paw-shaped tag.
The dog collar with tag will be available in two sizes. There is the 40-centimeter-long collar and 3-centimeter tag for extra small to small-sized dogs, while medium to large-sized dog owners can opt to have the 53-centimeter-long collar and 5-centimeter tag.
