K-pop idol Karina of the girl group aespa has been selected as Musinsa Beauty's brand ambassador.
Known for her AI-like appearance in the K-pop scene among fourth-generation idols, Karina was tapped by Musinsa Beauty for her bold and progressive image that aligns well with the brand's identity.
In a statement shared by South Korean news outlet News Today, a representative for Musinsa Beauty said, "We have high expectations that the bold and progressive beauty that Karina exudes on stage will be able to well represent the brand image that Musinsa Beauty will present in the future."
On Monday, the beauty specialty shop of parent company Musinsa announced that following her introduction as its new face, Karina will lead its "Beauty Festa in Seongsu" campaign.
Musinsa Beauty will hold the large-scale offline campaign in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, early next month featuring appearances by the "Supernova" hitmaker.
A beauty pop-up store will be opened in the area from Sept. 6 to 9. Forty-one brands will participate in this event, and it will operate mainly at the three key zones connecting Seongsu Station and Seoul Forest.
Ahead of the offline event, "Musinsa Beauty with Karina" will also take place to raise anticipation. This three-week event will see the release of videos and pictorials of the global idol for the brand starting on Aug. 19 until Sept. 8.
Simultaneously, "Musinsa Beauty Festa" will be available online through its app, where over 10,000 products from over 360 brands will be sold at a discount. To raise beauty consumers' excitement, early bird tickets will be available on the app on Aug. 16, offering up to 30% in discounts.
