Calvin Klein has launched the CK One Essence, its "intensified, premium take" on the original fragrance CK One.
Thirty years afer CK One's release in 1994, Calvin Klein teamed up with DSM-Firmenich's master perfumer Alberto Morillas once again to formulate the new fragrance.
To create CK One Essence, Morillas and Calvin Klein Fragrances put twice the concentration of the original eau de toilette, ensuring that the new iteration will leave a long-lasting and powerful freshness.
Its top notes are Italian bergamot and blood orange, while the mid notes consist of organic green tea accords. The aroma of natural sandalwood and upcycled musk serve as its base notes.
CK One Essence Parfum Intense is available at the official website of Calvin Klein for $68 for 50 milliliters and $86 for 100 milliliters. Purchasing the larger size of the fragrances makes consumers eligible for free standard shipping.
To introduce the new fragrance, Calvin Klein launched a campaign called "Blue Monday" led by Ben Keren and Alasdair McLellan. Its core mantra is "intensity for all." This fragrance is unisex, carrying on CK One's legacy of being the "world's first gender inclusive fragrance."
Calvin Klein also embraced the original fragrance's simple packaging, using a screw-top flask and translucent metallic bottle with a removable pump. But this time, the packaging was reimagined with premium, environmentally-preferred finishes.
The bottle is recyclable and comes in a secondary metallic carton containing the new fragrance's ingredients and details.
