Renowned music icon and business tycoon Rihanna has been announced as the new face of Dior's iconic J'adore fragrance.

The luxury fashion house revealed the partnership on Instagram Tuesday, sharing a photo of Rihanna adorned in a black cap, dark shades, a textured jacket, and jewelry.

The announcement marks a significant addition to Rihanna's diverse portfolio, fresh off the launch of her latest venture, Fenty Hair.

"Parfums Christian Dior is truly delighted to welcome icon Rihanna, whose wide-ranging talents, remarkable beauty, and universal appeal now embody the world of J'adore," the brand stated on Instagram.

In her official statement, Rihanna expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration.

"The scent, that I have known and loved for so long, means so much to women," she said, according to Women's Wear Daily. "I am especially looking forward to joining this adventure and contributing to it through my world, my story, my roots, as well as my creativity and my own femininity."

Rihanna takes over the role from Charlize Theron, who has been the face of J'adore since its release nearly 25 years ago. Dior's legendary fragrance, known for its alluring mix of pear, magnolia, musk, and blackberry notes, has maintained its status as a beloved scent since its launch in 1999.

Véronique Courtois, chief executive officer of Parfums Christian Dior, expressed her excitement about Rihanna's new role.

"The unusual talent, audacity, and captivating beauty of this absolute star are the ideal embodiment of dazzling, powerful Dior femininity that transcends generations," Courtois said. "Christian Dior would most definitely have adored her."

This new role continues Rihanna's long-standing relationship with Dior. In 2015, she starred in the "Secret Garden IV" campaign, a short film shot inside the Palace of Versailles. Her consistent presence at Dior fashion shows and previous collaboration on an eyewear collection in 2016 has solidified her bond with the brand.

Rihanna's new J'adore campaign is scheduled for release on Sept. 1.

This partnership follows her recent announcement of Fenty Hair, an extension of her highly successful Fenty Beauty brand, which has been celebrated as one of the most successful celebrity-run beauty brands globally.
