Oprah Winfrey was the picture of elegance as she graced the red carpet of the Academy Museum Gala at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles Sunday.

Winfrey, 69, dazzled in a custom, long-sleeve Dolce and Gabbana gown entirely embellished with sequins. She paired the dress with accessories that perfectly complemented her ensemble, including a matching Tyler Ellis bag.

She also wore a ring from Effy Jewelry and statement, shoulder-grazing earrings from Hamilton Jewelers, as reported by People.

Winfrey complemented the look with purple eyeshadow and a plum lip.

The media mogul graced the red carpet with an infectious smile, capturing the attention of photographers and attendees alike, as seen in a video shared by Deadline.

Winfrey was honored with the Academy Museum’s prestigious Pillar Award in recognition of her unwavering support for the organization.

Taking to her Instagram, the TV icon posted a snap of her look and shared her excitement for the event, writing: “It’s a purple kind of night. Off to the @academymuseum gala with my @thecolorpurple family [purple heart emoji].”

She also reposted a snapshot with actress Danielle Brooks, showcasing her camaraderie with her fellow stars.

In addition to Winfrey, the star-studded event also included Kendall Jenner, Eva Longoria, Meryl Streep, Brooklyn Beckham, Nicola Peltz, and Fantasia Barrino, who is set to star in the reimagining of "The Color Purple."

Accompanying Winfrey at the gala was her longtime friend and confidante, Gayle King.

The gala appearance follows Winfrey’s recent advocacy for diverse literature at the 74th National Book Awards Ceremony & Benefit Dinner in New York City last month.

During the event, she passionately spoke about the significance of inclusive books and emphasized the impact of “The Color Purple," according to People. 

Winfrey commended Alice Walker’s 1982 novel in her speech, quoting a passage from the book and highlighting the author's historical achievement as the first Black woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction with "The Color Purple" in 1983.

Walker's novel was the subject of a movie and Broadway musical. Winfrey's role as Sofia in the 1985 film earned her an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actress.  

She serves as a producer of the upcoming movie musical "The Color Purple," which stars Halle Bailey, Taraji P. Henson and Jon Batiste.

"The Color Purple" opens in theaters on Dec. 25.
