A new competition-based reality show is looking for the next crop of top hairstylists.
"Hairstyle: The Talent Show," a hairdressing TV show produced by Shine Iberia, debuted in the United States on Nov. 17, and is currently streaming on Discovery+.
However, this is merely the beginning, as the show has four other versions that will air in Spain, Italy, Mexico, and Brazil.
"Hairstyle: The Talent Show" is similar in format to other competition shows, with participants engaging in intense hairstyling challenges under time constraints. Every week, one contestant bids farewell while another emerges victorious from the challenge.
In each show, 10 skilled hairdressers will battle it out fiercely for a $150,000 prize package that will help them achieve their goal of opening their own luxury salon. The package includes designer furnishings, professional products, tools, and specialized training in hair skills for their future team, according to a press release.
In addition, they will also receive assistance in the form of PR, sales, marketing, and business development strategy. The winner will also get an extra $10,000 for their salon and earn a coveted spot among the esteemed international teaching faculty of the MDB Education hairstyling master's program.
A team of experts led by renowned hairstylist Rossano Ferretti will provide support to the winners, along with top-tier brands in the hair industry such as Great Lengths extensions, Rossano Ferretti Parma hair treatments, Gama Professional dryers, and Maletti salon furniture.
Throughout the competition, these stylists will exhibit their talent, skills, and artistry to impress Ferretti, who dreamt up the show and serves as the main host.
