Jennifer Lopez visits the Build Series Presents Jennifer Lopez And Ray Liotta Discussing "Shades Of Blue" at Build Studio on March 2, 2017 in New York City.
The latte makeup trend has been sweeping the internet for months, captivating beauty enthusiasts all over the globe.
With the holiday season in full swing, this trend has surged in popularity, with countless makeup lovers and gurus jumping on board to create their own interpretations of this trend. Now, Jennifer Lopez has put her own "twist" on the latte makeup.
On Tuesday, Lopez, 54, used her brand JLo Beauty's official Instagram account to share a detailed, step-by-step makeup tutorial of her version of the look.
In the video, she expertly demonstrated how to do a "pumpkin spice" latte makeup, which saw her infusing her trusted techniques into the trend.
"There's been a lot of talk about this latte makeup trend. I've been doing that a long time. So I want to give this a holiday twist," Lopez said.
She began her makeup routine with the eyeshadow application. Demonstrating her technique, she wielded a brush, sweeping a subtle brown eyeshadow, identified by Allure as the Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in Desert Fox, across her eyelid crease.
In a generous gesture to her followers, she shared a coveted tip learned from her trusted makeup artist, Scott Barnes.
"Scott has taught me to kind of do like a 'C' right here," the actress said.
"It kind of gives you this beautiful shape to the eye," she added while continuously maneuvering her brush back and forth across her eyelids.
Afterward, Lopez gently dabbed her brush onto her palette and applied a yellow hue across her eyelids.
"I would take this kind of yellowy color, and I'd kind of put it on the lid," the pop star explained.
Following that, Lopez presented a bottle of her beauty brand's bronzer, the JLo Beauty Complexion Booster in pink champagne, and proceeded to apply it along her cheekbones, around the sides of her eyebrows, and down the bridge of her nose.
For the lips, she told her viewers that she was going for a "cinnamon-y spice, pumpkin-y spice look." Before applying her lip liner, identified as the Make Up For Ever Artist Color Pencil by Allure, she shared yet another technique.
"You do the dark on the outside and contour in, and you leave the middle open," Lopez said as she demonstrated.
Next, the award-winning singer showed her Beso Balm from JLo Beauty and applied it on the middle part of her lips.
"The flan de vainilla, which is [the] vanilla flan flavor of this, kind of adds to the experience of the pumpkin spice a little," she said.
As a finishing touch, she used a brush to "toast the edges with some contour."
Wrapping up the video, Lopez asked her followers for their input on the name of the makeup look: should it be dubbed "pumpkin spice" or "cinnamon spice"?
