Kim Kardashian's shapewear clothing brand SKIMS launched a collaboration with Austrian crystal company Swarovski on Tuesday, unveiling a new crystallized collection. Out of all the pieces, one notable dress has captured the attention of fans.
That dress is the "Jelly Sheer Cami Long Dress." Priced at $198, the nude-colored garment perfectly hugs the body with Swarovski's iconic crystals embellished all throughout.
Looks familiar? People immediately assumed that the dress was inspired by the iconic gown that Marilyn Monroe wore in 1962 when she sang "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" to former President John F. Kennedy.
It can be remembered that Kardashian received mixed reactions, mostly negative ones when she wore the original iconic Marilyn Monroe dress at the 2022 Met Gala.

Swarovski x SKIMS Collection
The Swarovski x SKIMS cami long dress, now called a "Marilyn Monroe dress dupe," comes in three colors: Sienna, Cocoa, and Onyx. As of this writing, all colors and sizes are sold out except for the Sienna one.
This dress has only a few stocks remaining in sizes 3X and 4X. Other Swarovski x SKIMS garments are still available on SKIMS' official website. The collection has limited SKIMS shapewear apparel with Swarovski crystals, which include tube skirts, catsuits, bandeaus, and bodysuits.
Swarovski and Kim Kardashian's SKIMS Partnership
This is the first time that Swarovski has collaborated with another company to produce apparel that will be sold in its stores. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, the creative director of Swarovski, Giovanna Engelbert, shared that the collaboration has been in the works for a year and a half.
Engelbert also told the outlet that she was drawn to SKIMS because women lead it, and the crystal company shares the same values of "empowerment of women and self-expression and unapologetically being yourself and having the right to present yourself to the world however you want."
Engelbert further noted that she wanted to build the collection around the company's Millenia necklace, which she called the "Taylor Swift necklace" that the American pop star wore in her "Bejeweled" music video.
Engelbert told Harper's Bazaar she would be delighted if customers channeled that energy with the Swarovski x SKIMS body jewelry and bodysuits.
