With the rise of celebrities joining the mullet hair trend, box braids are also making a scene this 2021.

Although it has never really gone out of style since it was considered as classic, and not to mention, protective style staple in the natural hair community, some A-listers are seen hopping on a trend and flaunting it on social media.

Others even considered it as "KKW Signature braids" given that Kim Kardashian and her daughter, North West was often spotted donning the cool-girl hairstyle.

Aside from the two, the youngest Kar-Jen member, Kylie Jenner, had been sporting the box braids last year.

To recall, in early 2020, the beauty mogul faced a wave of backlash after she took to Instagram stories a never before seen photos taken by the Morelli Brothers.

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashian" star was accused of cultural appropriation after Kylie was photographed wearing blonde locks with her hair up and parted slightly off-center with long braids down to her shoulders.

The Kardashians are not the only celebrities who are rocking the box braid hairs.

Beyonce's sister Solange, Rihanna, and "Euphoria" star, Zendaya, managed to walk the red carpets, parading not just their jaw-dropping gowns but their unique yet classic braids.

It's go big or go home for the Fenty Beauty owner as she rocked those massive braids in 2019.

In her previous Instagram post, the "Umbrella" hitmaker wore a Virgil Abloh top as she posed alongside Jamaican artist Buju Banton, with her waist-long box braids.

Over the comment sections, fans are commending her new look as one user wrote, "Beautiful dgd has them almost to her waist, and they are beautiful!."

Willow Smith's Half-Down Half-Up Braids

For years, Willow Smith has been sporting the same hairstyle since she was a baby with an occasional switch up from skinhead hairstyle. In one IG photo, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith's daughter was seen donning a half-down half-up hair with her hair braided in smaller sections. Moreover, she also posted a throwback photo alongside her dad, wearing short box braids.

Tessa Thompson's Ultra Long Knotless Braids

Recently, the "Men in Black" actress landed the cover of Town and Country magazine wearing super long knotless braids by celebrity hairstylist Lacy Redway. While wearing a puffy lilac dress, Tessa Thompson's hair was parted into five sections while leaving the rest tied at the back.

Making it to the fourth number spot is Halsey with her bohemian-inspired braids.

Taking it to Instagram, the "Bad at Love" songstress wore black, messy braids for that unique and unstructured look. It was for a campaign for a cosmetic brand, About-face Beauty.

Zendaya

Last on the list is award-winning actress Zendaya with her red mini box braids for Elle USA's cover.

Instead of the classic black hair color, "The Greatest Showman" star opted for a deep red tone that suited her complexion.
