The Iconic Rouge Dior lipstick has gotten an eco makeover. Christian Dior launches 75 Rouge Dior refillable lipsticks. Actress Natalie Portman can be seen in the new campaigns for the Rouge Dior refillable lipsticks.
Rouge Dior was created in the late 1940s by renowned French fashion designer Christian Dior. Harper's Bazaar reports that according to the brand, one Rouge Dior lipstick is sold every three seconds around the world. As a nod to sustainability, Rouge Dior has been reformulated with red peony, pomegranate flower and shea butter and now comes in refillable bullets.
75 Shades in 4 Finishes
While Christian Dior Makeup Creative and Image Director Peter Philips acknowledges that lipstick has been put on the back burner, thanks to the worldwide pandemic, the psychological benefits of lipstick have people wearing it again even at home. As he tells Harper's Bazaar, lipstick is "part of the ritual." It affects a person's state of mind." Philips adds that "You can taste it. You can smell it. Lipstick makes you feel different."
Makeup lovers will certainly agree. They will also appreciate Rouge Dior's 75 shades in four different finishes: matte, velvet, satin and metallic. Temptalia sums up that out of the 75 shades, there are 22 mattes, nine velvets (luminous matte), 27 satins, and ten metallics. You can virtually try on different shades using your laptop's camera, so you'll know exactly what to buy. Once a lipstick is finished, users will be able to switch it out with any of the 75 available shades. One Rouge Dior lipstick costs $38, while the Rouge Dior The Refill goes for $30 each.

Rouge Dior Iconic Shades
The 75 Rouge Dior shades include four of the lipstick's most iconic colors. 999 is the trademark red of the House of Dior and is the only shade available across all four finishes. 100 Nude Look is the modernized version of Christian Dior's New Look, a greige (gray and beige) shade from 1947 and is now described as the "new contemporary nude" on the Dior website. 080 Red Smile is another reinvention of one of the original reds created by Christian Dior in the 1950s. 525 Chérie is a classic rosewood that's a nod to Dior's love of women and his muses in the fashion industry. This revamped line of refillable lipsticks come in shiny black cases with the brand's signature band that features the founder's initials C and D.
Expert Application Tips
For the perfect pout, follow these tips from the Dior website:
Make sure you have a hydrated base and apply Dior Lip Glow on clean lips.
Use a lip liner like Dior Contour to outline your lips or line outside your lips to exaggerate your lip shape.
For even application, use a lip brush like Dior's Backstage lip brush and apply Rouge Dior from the center of the lips with outward strokes.
