Will love be sweeter the second time around?
Fingers crossed for Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, who are set to be married sometime in December 2019.
The couple both came from previous marriages. The "Hot and Cold" singer had an over-the-top wedding in 2010 with comedian Russell Brand and got divorced in 2012, while the "Lord of the Rings" actor tied the know with supermodel Miranda Kerr in 2010 and divorced in 2013.
While all are expecting a big, flashy wedding for Perry and Bloom, they are reportedly going for a small and intimate wedding this time around. After her luxurious wedding at the Taj Rambagh Palace in India in 2010, Perry now has her heart set on the complete opposite!
Per Hollywood Life, The American Idol judge is reportedly more mature now, and so is her relationship with the 42-year-old actor that is "in full bloom."
When Did Katy and Orlando Engage?
On February 14, 2019, Perry and Bloom's Valentine's Day Engagement spread like wildfire. Fans were all thrilled about Bloom's sweet gesture to the "Roar" singer.
Katy flashed her engagement ring -- a $5M floral engagement ring sparkling with a pink ruby and 2.5-carat diamond on her Instagram account with the caption "full bloom" -- obviously a pun for her soon-to-be husband.
Perry shared the proposal story on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, telling everyone that they just celebrated Valentine's Day at a fancy Italian restaurant and were planning to visit an art show -- only pull up to a helicopter instead!
The "Small Talk" singer goes on to tell a funny story when Orlando had to rip his coat pocket because apparently, the ring box got stuck! He even knocked down a Champagne glass. (Well, we can blame Bloom as anyone will be nervous too if you were proposing to Katy Perry!)
As the helicopter landed on a building's rooftop, their friends and family were waiting to surprise the couple. To add more to the romance, Bloom -- as Katy said -- prepared "the most flowers you've ever seen!"
Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's Wedding Plans
The "Fireworks" hit-maker and "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor have their eyes set on a December wedding, but there's no word yet on a specific date or venue.
The couple is currently living together in Los Angeles, California. Perry is from Santa Barbara, CA, while Bloom is from Canterbury, UK.
In the meantime, both are tying up loose ends at work before tying the knot in December. Perry will make a comeback in the new season of "American Idol," while Bloom is starring in the new Amazon TV series "Carnival Row."
The engaged couple has been talking a lot about building a foundation for their marriage, with Bloom focusing on "laying the groundwork together of trust and safety" so they can go on the journey together. He added that with both of them being married before, "it's important that we do the work before we go and take the next big step."
Perry backs her fiancé's sentiments, saying: "We're really doing the hard work of laying a beautiful foundation before building a massive house!"
The couple also talked about having kids after marriage, with Bloom praising his fiancé for being "great with kids. With that said, they are "shooting for that."
Bloom has a son with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, whom Katy Perry calls sissy! Watch this video of Katy Perry talk about how Bloom's eight-year-old son Flynn Christopher matured her on The Ellen Show:
