Nick Jonas allegedly popped the question to Priyanka Chopra with an engagement ring that the singer bought from a Tiffany's store. Not only that, he had the shop closed down while he chose the perfect sparkler for the beautiful lady.

Jonas and Chopra are pulling off an Ariana Grande-Pete Davidson. The former Jonas Brothers member and the Quantico star have just dated for two months, but a source is claiming they got engaged already. The ring, the insider added, was from Tiffany's, and the "Close" singer was the one who chose it himself.

"Jonas closed down a Tiffany store in New York City to buy an engagement ring," the source said.

Like 'Sweet Home Alabama'

Just imagine the film Sweet Home Alabama. A lot of people likened Jonas' move to one scene of the film. In the movie, Andrew Hennings, played by Patrick Dempsey, took the blindfolded Reese Witherspoon's Melanie Carmichael to the Tiffany & Co. store in New York.

When lights turned on, Melanie realized that she was inside the store where the employees are watching them. Andrew got down on one knee and proposed to the lady of the hour, and when she said "yes," he gave her the chance to pick any of the rings in the store, quite a dreamy scene.

Jonas and Andrew pretty much were the same in closing down a Tiffany's store, but how they differ is that the singer had done so to choose the perfect sparkler for his muse while the film's character opted to propose inside the store.

The sweet gesture is present, and Jonas's step was probably to avoid paparazzi from further dipping in their own happy bubble. Obviously, the cat still managed to get out of the bag, even as both of them had kept mum on the real score.

Jonas reportedly popped the question during their trip to London. What made it even more special is that it happened on Chopra's birthday. An insider said that the singer's family "have never seen him like this."

In June, Chopra met Jonas's family during his cousin's nuptial. A source said back then that it was a big step, and the meeting spoke a lot about their relationship since the "Jealous" singer had been quite active on the dating scene.

A foreboding of this was last year's Met Gala, where Chopra and Jonas went together wearing both Ralph Lauren. This may have built a friendship between the two good-looking personalities that had led to their engagement.
