Kylie Jenner may just be 20, but she has been projected by Forbes to becoming the youngest self-made billionaire in the history.
At 20, people are just gearing toward learning what to do with their life, while others, still take their time in school. For makeup maven Jenner, she's just nearing to becoming a billionaire, not a big deal at all.
Forbes said that Jenner is on track to becoming the 27th richest self-made, meaning it's all on her work and not from inheritance, woman in America and is the youngest, dethroning Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg who secured the spot at 23. This is largely because of her makeup empire, Kylie Cosmetics, which was just born two years ago but has proven to becoming bigger and more successful more than ever.
Forbes estimated her earnings of $900 million, and that's a whopping amount as compared with her other sister, Kim Kardashian West. When the influential and ever-popular Kylie Cosmetics emerged in 2016, it only sold "lip kits" for $29, which consisted of a lip liner and a lipstick.
"Forbes values her company, which has since added other cosmetics like eye shadow and concealer, at nearly $800 million. Jenner owns 100% of it," the entity explained.
Well, of course, Kylie Cosmetics isn't the only thing that Jenner is keeping busy with. She has a lot of endorsements, like Puma, and her reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians that help round up her overall earnings to $900 million.
In Comparison With Kim Kardashian West
Jenner's half-sister, Kardashian West, also has her own cosmetics company called KKW Beauty. The 37-year-old is also on the reality show, but she is far behind her younger sister, as Forbes placed her earnings at $350 million.
Both of Jenner and West are social media superstars. The younger reality star has close to 111 million followers on Instagram while the other, a little over 114 million followers.
Forbes noted that Jenner only has less than 10 full-time employees and just five part-timers, so overhead expenses are at a minimal. Add to that the Kardashian-Jenner clan's matriarch, Kris, who is dubbed as a "momager," who gets 10 percent from managing Kylie Cosmetics.
Besides those things, Jenner is all on her own. Her being a social media superstar does the job for her, as her influence keeps expanding all throughout the years. It also helps that she loves makeups, in particular lip cosmetics, that started it all.
"Social media is an amazing platform. I have such easy access to my fans and my customers," Jenner stressed.
