After the shutdown of its hardware business, Blackberry has been successfully thriving. Blackberry has good news for Indonesian fans, as the Canadian company, through PT BB Merah Putih, will launch a brand new mid-range smartphone with a huge capacity, produced only for Indonesian users.

According to Tech2, the vice president of BB Merah Putih, Stanly Widjaja, promoted that Blackberry Aurora is not only the first BlackBerry to ever be produced in Indonesia, it is also the first Blackberry in the world to be equipped with dual-SIM functionality.

And soon enough, Blackberry Aurora will be available on sale, starting on March 16. However, the pre-order have been opened on various e-commerce portals in Indonesia early this month for $260. Moreover, some retailers in Indonesia offered a free JBL Go Speaker and a flip case for pre-order, which is a great offer.

For the specs, Phone Arena reported that Blackberry Aurora has the mixes of mid-range and high-end specs. It features Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor and a 5.5-inch display that supports HD (720p) resolution.

Blackberry Aurora measures 152x6.8x8.55mm and weigh at 178g. It also featured dual-SIM support and 4G LTE data speed. It has a 13-megapixel back camera and the secondary 8-megapixel front camera. A micro SD card slot is also available. The operating system is the recent Android 7.0 Nougat with 3,000 mAh battery inside. Moreover, 4GB RAM and 32GB storage are included by BB Merah Putih. Is it a good news?

Unfortunately, according to Softpedia the low-power chipset will not be able to make full use of the RAM. In other words, those extra 1GB added -- compare to other smartphones with the same price range -- might have been a little bit excessive.

Nevertheless, this special edition, which only can be found in Indonesia, is really a good deal. Its exclusiveness is so irresistible, and the elegant three-color choices -- black, gold, and silver -- are breathtaking.
