The "High School Musical" best friends reunited for a song cover collab a few months ago, and it is rumored that it might be a beginning for Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens to reunite as an offscreen couple. Some reports revealed that the now single former couple is trying to rekindle their old relationship.
Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale made a nostalgic collaboration on Ashley's YouTube channel, singing a rendition of Elle King's "Ex's & Oh's". The song cover was requested by fans since both co-stars had not been in a duet in the movie, according to Billboard. Ashley's husband, Chris French arranged the cover version and played the guitar as the "High School Musical" alumni sang the acoustic rendition.
The best friends are also reportedly still hanging out together. They both were last seen attending L.A. Lakers game, as reported by Teen Vogue. The reunion was not only attended by Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale, but also Vanessa's sister, Stella. Unfortunately, there are some "HSM" casts missing from the reunion, which are Corbin Bleu and Zac Efron.
Rumors said that besides the reunion between Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale, it is going to be another reunion between Vanessa and her former boyfriend and co-star, Zac Efron. According to HollywoodLife, Zanessa, the ship name for Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, is getting back together, especially since Zac still cannot get over Vanessa. The report claimed that after breaking up with his former girlfriend, model Sami Miro, Zac decided to give it a shot to win Vanessa's heart again.
Even during Vanessa's relationship with her then boyfriend, Austin Butler, Zac was reportedly trying to get in touch with her through phone calls. Zac getting in the middle between the relationship obviously bothered Austin and he was not happy about it.
