After the recent split of Hollywood star and heartthrob Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the actor seems to be reconnecting with his past and has reportedly been texting his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. The 53-year-old star called off his marriage with the "Friends" star in 2005, but now after over a decade and amid his recent divorce with Jolie, Pitt is said to be opening his heart for his former wife.
As reported by US Magazine, the "Fight Club" star tracked down Aniston's number in order to greet her a happy 48th birthday on February 11. And since then, the two has been texting each other. A source close to Pitt revealed to People Magazine that they haven't been in communication post their split in 2005 and Pitt found love in the face of Angelina Jolie while filming for "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" in 2004.
"It's nothing new, he didn't have to jump through hoops to get Jenifer's number and it's no big deal," said the source. The friendly exes also don't seem to worry about Aniston's new husband Justin Theroux, who if the sources are to be believed, have no issue with their relationship. Aniston had been dating Theroux since 2011 and the two tied knots in August 2015 at a private ceremony, Daily Mail reported.
In an interview given to BBC World News, Angelina Jolie said that she doesn't want to say much, except that it's a very difficult time for them. "We are a family and we will always be a family, and we will get through this tough phase and hopefully become a stronger and closer family. Jolie and Pitt are currently involved in custody negotiations of their six children, after the "Salt" star filed for divorce in September 2016 when they called off their two years of marriage and over a decade long relationship.
