Since the news came out about former professional boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. coming out of his retirement for a super match with Conor McGregor, there has been a huge anticipation among his fans. However, the undefeated boxer has denied all the speculations who last fought with Andre Berto in 2015.
According to the Mirror, The five-division world champion, who hasn't lost a single fight in his career of 49 matches, denied the reports of any discussions with a fight with UFC's pound-for-pound superstar Conor McGregor. "There seem to be many rumors floating around about me signing a deal to have a match, but let the records show. There is no deal made by me to a fight with any other fighter," wrote the legendary boxer on his social media.
"I am very much happy about my retirement and enjoying my life. If I have any such plans, I will let the entire world know," said Mayweather. Currently working as a boxing promoter, he further added that no deal has been signed on his behalf, which truly contradicted with the reports from Nevada State Athletic Commission chairman claiming that real discussions have been made with real players.
As reported by Mid Day, Conor replied to his tweets with a taunt, "I am in Las Vegas. Floyd retired on my arrival". This made the former boxer break point with McGregor and retweeted, "Listen, Conor McGregor, if you really want to fight me, first take care of your business with UFC and then contact me". McGregor still has five fights remaining in the UFC contract, but he stated that he has his eyes on one thing and that is Floyd Mayweather.
It surely seems their constant jabs on each other over social media would make the fight inevitable, especially keeping in mind the online argument between Soulja Boy and Chris Brown that advanced into a bonafide fight, which Mayweather is currently promoting.
