Sophia Body may have made headlines after slamming ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuel's former longtime girlfriend Nicki Minaj by suggesting the "Anaconda" rapper was guilty of not writing her own material, however, the model is now speaking out regarding her comments about Minaj, revealing that her temporary fling with Samuels has brought major drama into her life.
Mstars reports that in an interview with Jack Thriller, Body admits, "I was sticking up for somebody that I thought had my back. My man at the time...Safaree [Samuels]," she admits of her ex.
Body goes on to explain that her interview with VladTV, in which she dropped major hints about Samuels being responsible for Minaj's success as he wrote all of her music, has brought drama into her life and has resulted in her getting getting slammed for throwing shade at Minaj.
"Ever since I met him, I have been doing this for a long time. If I really was messy, I really was a dirty person, I would of leaked s**t and gotten paid for it, but I'm not that type, but ever since I met him, it's been like constant drama."
Body also suggests that her comments regarding Minaj using a ghost writer for her music were taken out of context, "It's not like I mean to do any of these things, yeah, of course I sat there and did the interview, but I was nervous, I felt ambushed."
The curvy model previously revealed in the interview that she and Samuels briefly dated, however, things "never got serious," before admitting that Samuels "used to write all of Nicki's s***."
Minaj fans instantly began slamming the beauty for throwing shade at the "Truffle Butter" rapper, forcing Body to take to Twitter to defend her comments.
"I just want to clarify. Wasn't trying to discredit Nicki. She's a great artist. Nor was I trying to say she doesn't create her own work. I was trying to glorify under credited artist...That's it. I wish Nicki well, I'm a fan and I've never meant anything by it. I get defensive when it comes to people I love."
What do you think of Body's current comments about Samuels after getting heat for slamming Minaj?
