Punk artist Jax took a final bow at the "American Idol" stage on Tuesday night.
According to the Daily Mail, the New Jersey singer was eliminated during the beginning of the show. None of the contestants even had the chance to perform at the Dolby Theater yet when the announcement was made.
But for Jax, it was not a loss; she even described her experience as "life altering."
"The stage was the ultimate platform to get myself out there and to speak to the world," Jax said. "I believe this is the start of something big."
The 19-year-old aspiring artist was greeted by her family on stage. Later, she hugged her competitors who made it as finalists of the show. After leaving the stage, Ryan Seacrest then introduced the two remaining contestants of the show to perform on the "big stage," according to NJ.com.
Jax's elimitation was "surprising," NJ.com notes. She was one of the contestants, even during the beginning of the show, who got rave reviews from the fans and the judges. She was also a great highlight on every episode after earning "huge roars" from the fans.
"I am freaking devastated," wrote Casey Mink of Hollywood Life. "Literally beyond words upset. And her montage is making me bawl my eyes out."
Jax has a big amount of social media followers but since it is still a singing competition, Jax's vocal prowess is considered to be not as strong as the two remaining contestants, Nick Fradiani and Clark Beckham, NJ noted.
Nonetheless, Jax was still thankful for everything. She even sent out a tweet for her fans, thanking them.
"I could have never accomplished any of this without u. #JAXPack is in my heart, + we will continue to be a family bc the future is bright," wrote Jax.
The winner for the 14th Season of "American Idol" will be announced on May 13 at 8 p.m. ET on FOX, US Magazine reported.
