Chris Brown has had a rough couple of months, especially following his split with longtime girlfriend Karrueche Tran which happened after it was revealed that he had fathered a child with Nia Guzman-Amey.
But the 25-year-old singer may finally be ready to change and look at the world "from a new perspective." After assuming his responsibilities as a father to now 10-month-old Royalty, Brown is allegedly experiencing an "awakening" in which he has finally realized what the most important things in his life really are.
The "Loyal" hitmaker recently took to Instagram to convey this message in a heartfelt post that seems to be directed at his ex, Hollywood Life reported.
"There comes a time in your life when you finally get it... When in the midst of all your fears and insanity you stop dead in your tracks and somewhere the voice insider your head cries out 'ENOUGH! Enough fighting and crying or struggling to hold on,'" he posted Friday.
The post continued: "And, like a child quieting down after a blind tantrum, your sobs begin to subside, you shudder once or twice, you blink back your tears and through a mantle of wet lashes you begin to look at the world from a new perspective. This is your awakening."
The message could mean that he's now fully committed to being a good dad to his daughter, but could it also be his declaration for Tran that he's willing to step up and be the man she wants?
Brown's post comes just days after it was reported that Tran gave him an ultimatum to either stay loyal to her or lose her forever.
"For the first time in weeks after listening to him sing to her [over the phone], she finally gave in and texted him," an insider claimed to Hollywood Life. "She wrote him and asked, 'Do you love me and can you be with me and only me for the rest of your life?'"
However, it seems Brown has yet to respond to Tran's question as he's not yet sure he can "live up to the standards" she's set.
"He received it but hasn't responded just yet," the insider told the tabloid. "That's not a question he's going to answer right off the bat."
The source continued: "He knows he's guilty of hurting and damaging her and the last thing he wants to do is disappoint her again. He wants to take some time to think this through fully. He wants to make sure that he can absolutely live up to the standards Karrueche has set. He doesn't blame her whatsoever for leaving him or even for asking him a really blunt and direct question like she did."
