Khloé Kardashian has always had a strong relationship with younger brother Rob Kardashian, so it's no surprise that the reality star opened up during an event at the 1OAK nightclub in Las Vegas on Friday about Rob's ongoing struggle to lose weight and why he remains out of the public eye 

Gossip Cop reports that her sock designer brother has made headlines for his recent struggle with weight gain, opting out of appearing on the family's hit reality series "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" in order to focus on his health. However, according to sister Khloé, Rob has continued to struggle with constant scrutiny surrounding his absence from the public eye.

"I just feel, especially over the last year, Rob has become very introverted and has a kind of social anxiety," Kardashian revealed to Wonderwall.

"He's definitely not at his happiest place that he once was (sic) and I know he can get to that happy place and he will," she said confidently.

Speaking about the current "rut" her brother has found himself in, Kardashian admits, "We all kind of get to a place where you don't know where to go in life or whatever, so I think it's important for him to know that he always has people to lean on and it's not unnatural for people to not know where to begin. It's a growing process. I will always be his No. 1 supporter."

Rob's latest attempt to reach out to fans and followers came on his 29th birthday earlier this week, in which the former reality star posted a photo to his Instagram page showing a plethora of balloons gifted to him by sister Khloé. Kardashian celebrated his big day with sister Khloé as well as eldest sister Kourtney Kardashian and her daughter Penelope, as well as sister Kim Kardashian's daughter North West. 

Kardashian posted a throwback photo of her brother in better spirits for his birthday, captioning the sweet shot, "Happy birthday @robkardashian!!!!! Never will I ever meet another man as great as you! I know this is the year where you will find your happiness agin! I will be right by your side, holding your hand, every step of the way!!! I adore you my one and only brother!!! Happy Happy Happy birthday!!
