Ryan Reynolds recently made it clear that he's eager to share baby duties with wife Blake Lively. However, it seems like he's a little more involved than most would expect.
The 38-year-old actor was attending the party for his new film "Mississippi Grind" at the Chase Sapphire on Main during the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah when he opened up about being a new father.
“I gotta jump in and do all those sorts of things,” he told PEOPLE magazine on Saturday.
“I mean, I’ve even tried breastfeeding,” he jokingly added.
Talk about hands-on dad!
When asked how the breastfeeding went, Reynolds admitted that it wasn't a good experience for both him and his baby girl.
“It’s frustrating for the baby and frankly disturbing for me … not well is the answer,” the actor revealed.
Even though he may not find all baby duties fun, Reynolds was quick to share that being a father is "amazing" and life at home with baby Violet and his wife, 27, has been "great."
“It’s amazing that you can be that exhausted and that happy at the same time,” he gushed.
Reynolds welcomed his first child with Lively December last year. He was previously married to "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron" star Scarlett Johansson.
Lively shares her husband's enthusiasm for child-rearing, revealing in an interview with Us Weekly in October that she has always wanted to be a mother.
"It’s something that I’ve always wanted ever since I was a little girl," she told the glossy.
"I knew I wanted to have a lot of kids because I had come from a big family so it was always important to me," the "Gossip Girl" alum continued.
"So it’s just the excitement of that finally being here."
Written and directed by Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck, Reynolds stars in "Mississippi Grind" alongside Sienna Miller, Ben Mendelsohn and Analeigh Tipton.
