Some glitches took place during the Jewish wedding ceremony of "Annie" star Cameron Diaz and Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden.
Before the bridal entrance, the lights flickered and went out for 10 seconds. Because of this, Diaz was heard curing, "S--t, f--k, this is f--ked up. You've got to be f---ing kidding me!" Daily Mail reported.
Five minutes after the lighting glitch, Diaz was finally seen marching down the aisle in a sparkly gown with a low-cut back to "Stardust" by Nat King Cole.
Another glitch during the Jewish wedding involved the ring bearer Sparrow, the five-year-old son of the groom's twin brother and best man Joel and Nicole Richie.
The guests were said to have started to chuckle when the ring bearer dropped and rolled the ring around. The audience then laughed when the Madden twins, the groom and the best man, got on their hands and knees to look for the ring.
Moreover, Diaz was heard pleading with Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin and another friend to help her change to her short-sleeved reception gown shortly before the cutting of the cake.
A total of 127 guests attended the wedding at Diaz's Beverly Hills mansion. Among the celebrity guests were Reese Witherspoon and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Before tying the knot, Madden and Diaz dated for nine months. The two prepared for the wedding in separate rooms prior to the ceremony, which is a Jewish wedding custom, according to The Jewish Week.
Diaz was with her bridesmaids Drew Barrymore, her sister-in-law Richie and her older sister Chimene Cain as well as her assistant Jesse Lutz and makeup artist Lona Vigi. The groom, on the other hand, was with his groomsmen, his brothers Joel and Josh.
The Jewish ceremony of the Madden-Diaz wedding was planned by celebrity wedding planners Stefanie Cove and Yifat Oren, Us Weekly reported.
Neither Madden nor Diaz is Jewish and the reason why they chose to have a Jewish wedding is yet to be revealed.
