Mirror Mirror, released on March 30, has revealed the final creations of legendary costume designer Eiko Ishioka.

The live-action "Snow White" movie by director Tarsem Singh stars Julia Roberts as the evil stepmother and Lily Collins as Snow White.
In Mirror Mirror, its fashion may even have received more attention than its acting. Ishioka in her spectacular creations featured Alexander McQueen, Issey Miyake and Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren.

Roberts and Collins wore dresses measuring 5’8” to 6’ in circumference, handmade from 25-35 yards of fabric, with huge wire cages and corsets underneath, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Queen’s piece de resistance wedding gown weighed a toppling 60 lbs and was 8 ft in diameter.

“From the moment I worked with Eiko, there was no other,” said Singh. “There was no going back if you wanted something fantastic.”
The success of their projects was “90 percent because she was a genius, and 10 percent because she could not understand a word I said,” said Singh, according to The New York Times.

The Oscar-winning designer passed away of pancreatic cancer at the age of 73 in January.

Collins, who saw Ishioka's gaze at the monitor during the ball scene, said,
“She was seeing all of her incredible creations in one scene and it must have been so amazing and thrilling. But she was always so humble. All she did was smile.”

During her lifetime, the Japanese designer took home a Grammy award, two Tony awards, and an Oscar. Her often surrealistic creations have appeared in museums, on stage for Broadway and operas, as well as at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
