Jessica Alba glowed in pastel pink at the 2012 Diane von Furstenberg Awards on Friday.

The 30year-old actress wore a big smile in a baby pink Diane von Furstenberg mini dress, patent Christian Louboutin heels and a minimal make-up.

“Heading to #DVFAwards 2nite! I’m so excited to be in a room with so many incredible women! Very inspiring!” Alba tweeted before the event at the United Nations in New York City.

At the event was Oprah Winfrey in a dazzling emerald gown, presenting an award.

The DVF Awards honor four recipients "who have displayed leadership, strength, and courage in their commitment to their causes," giving each a $50,000 award.

Earlier in the day, Alba was spotted in Manhattan wearing a black coat, black boots paired with a yellow scarf.

The mother-of-two is catching the trend of neon colors.
"I didn’t use to wear a lot of colour. I guess I’ve been more adventurous with my style and clothes choices since I’ve become a mother," Alba recently told LA Confidential magazine.
"It doesn’t feel as heavy or as big a deal. Before, I was incredibly bashful and shy. When I was younger, I was really uncomfortable in dresses and high heels or anything like that. Over the years, I’ve embraced a more feminine side."

"I’ve been doing this since I was 12, going to fittings and all that," the Sin City star said.
"So I know what works on my silhouette."

She really does! We've seen Jessica pull off neon blue, and it's exciting to spot more of her in bright colors.

"Fashion is part of the job. There’s a fantasy element. It’s fun to go out and see what everybody’s wearing. Some things really work, and some don’t. And then there are some people, like Kate Moss, who can wear anything... Now it’s just what I’m feeling that day."
