Pet rescuer Annie Hart found an abandoned dog on the side of the street and her instincts told her to save its life.

The dog, a poodle, which she eventually decided to name Layla, appeared afraid at first when she tried to approach her.

However, within just a few minutes, the frail dog warmed up to Hart and smothered her with kisses to express her delight over being rescued.
