Show creator Ryan Murphy revealed that Twisty the Clown will make a return on the world of "American Horror Story: Freak Show," Huffington Post reported.
The character of Twisty the Clown played by John Carroll Lynch was killed on the fourth episode of the anthology series' latest season. Murphy revealed, however, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that he is set to make a comeback though no details on how the dead character will return was given.
"Twisty is not over," he told the publication. He added, "And neither is Edward Mordrake. They both make triumphant returns. I was shocked to read so many of these 'RIP Twisty' websites and blogs have sprung up. People love Twisty ... He will return."
Murphy, however, mentioned that dead characters in this season will remain dead in an earlier interview with Entertainment Weekly. "This season, once you die, you're dead. There's no supernatural thing to bring you back like last year," he told the publication at the time.
Meanwhile, actress Angela Bassett who plays the character of Desiree Dupree in the show said she "wouldn't trust what [Murphy] says" when it comes to putting dead characters to rest in an interview with Vulture.
Answering if there are crazy scenes to be expected from the show, Basset says "Anything could happen in this world, and anything does happen. I mean, you could get your head cut off and come on back."
Apart from the revelation about Twisty the Clown's return, Murphy also dished out that all the seasons of "American Horror Story" are connected.
"They're all connected," he said in an interview. "We're just beginning to tell you how they're connected. They're all very separate but there's clues every season that we're now telling you how the different worlds are intertwined."
Keep an eye for Twisty the Clown on "American Horror Story: Freak Show," which airs Wednesdays at 10PM on FX.
