Catherine Middleton exhibited her love for art at her first public engagement as royal patron of The Art Room.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who graduated with a degree in art history, visited students at Rose Hill Primary School in Oxford, England on Tuesday morning. Dozens of children greeted the royal with flags and flowers.

Kate was dressed in a Birdie jacquard dress by Irish designer Orla Kiely, with matching brown tights and Aquatalia's ankle boots.

The Art Room uses art therapy to help children with emotional and behavioral difficulties. The charity’s emphasis is on teaching life skills while encouraging children and young people to both relate and engage with each other, says The Daily Mail.

As the Duchess worked with the students on an "Owl and the Pussycat" mural, she wore an apron with "Miss Catherine" printed on the front.
