In a lovely vintage Shareen dress with a satin bow around the waist, the New Girl star played a distinct role in hosting the ceremony along with comedian Joel McHale.

The 32-year-old actress made her quirkiness complete with her opening comment.

"Welcome to Nerd Prom. Male writers, you are so hot with your minds and plaid shirts. Hit on me,' said Deschanel.
After filing for divorce from Ben Gibbard just last month, the brunette beauty appeared to have a moment with director Alexander Payne, who dramatically kissed her hand, says The New York Post.
