Katy Perry might be competing with a baby for her man's attention.

Diplo, who was first rumored to be dating the "Roar" hitmaker back in April, is expecting his second child with former girlfriend Kathryn Lockhart, according to New York Daily News.

A source told the newspaper that Lockhart was likely to have been "newly pregnant" before dating rumors about the DJ and Perry broke.

"She's due in the next couple of weeks," the tipster said of Lockhart, who shares a 4-year-old son with Diplo whose real name is Wesley Pentz. "Her friends recently had a baby shower for her. She and Wes aren't together, but he's actively involved in (Lockett's) life."

Diplo also recently changed his Twitter name to "Baby Daddy," suggesting that the reports might just be true, MTV UK reported.

The news comes just weeks after Perry was said to be feeling "in control" of her relationship with Diplo and keen to keep their blossoming romance "undercover."

"She's keeping this one undercover because she's learned her lesson. She's in control, but he likes that," a source told E! News.

"He knows she's in charge and respects her," the tipster said of Diplo. "She keeps tabs on him ... but she trusts him and that's the most important thing to her."

The 29-year-old "Dark Horse" singer has reportedly already introduced the 35-year-old DJ to her family, indicating that their romance is getting more serious.

"Her family likes him a lot," added the E! News' source, noting that her pals have also given their stamp of approval on the pop star's new beau.

"You can see how comfortable she feels with him already because the whole crew hangs with him already and they approve," the tipster added. "It's important that everyone gets along with him because makes her crazy life easier."

Perry and Diplo's romance was first reported after they "seemed inseparable" at the Coachella festival in California in April, New York Daily News reported.

The rumored couple took a trip to Jamaica with friends in June.

And in August that the pair arrived together at Seth Meyers' Emmy party and "kept grabbing each other's hands, and Diplo kept pulling Katy in," Us Weekly reported.
