Karlie Kloss may be skipping New York Fashion Week, but she is ubiquitously seen across fashion scenes, and this time, giving a fabulous midcentury look.
A new campaign for Americana Manhasset, an outdoor shopping center on Long Island, New York, features Kloss as a quintessential mid-20th century suburban housewife.
Coupled with Male model Simon Nessman, children and a dog, Kloss is producing a nostalgic atmosphere, with a turkey in the oven, a Cadillac in the driveway, and lots of colors all over the 60-page Spring lookbook "I Love Americana."
The book will be direct-mailed to 110,000 targeted households, and the images will be featured in national ads in The New York Times Style Section and T Magazine, in regional publications such as Hamptons Magazine, according to a press release.
The campaign was photographed, produced and styled by Laspata/DeCaro.
“We didn’t want to be subtle this season, but decided instead to run with the theme in a big, fun way, with a ton of kitschy props and a wink and a smile. As always, although we put forth a strong editorial voice, it is paramount that the fashion and respective designers' messages remain the focus," said Charles DeCaro.
