Zoe Saldana confirmed earlier this month that she and husband Marco Perego are expecting twins. But is the actress having twin boys, twin girls or a pair of boy and girl?

Multiple sources told E! News that the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star and her Italian artist hubby are expecting twin boys.

"It's twin boys and Zoe is thrilled!" a tipster told the celebrity and entertainment news site. "Zoe always wanted a boy."

News that that Saldana is pregnant with twins broke back in July. But even before Saldana made the confirmation herself, her friend and former "Crossroads" co-star Britney Spears let the exciting news slip first.

When Entertainment Tonight asked the 32-year-old "Baby One More Time" hitmaker last month if she and Saldana would ever film another movie together, Spears, answered, "Who knows? That's a very good idea. But she's pregnant with twins right now. So I'm sure she's got a huge future ahead of her."

Saldana then confirmed her twin pregnancy in the cutest way on Oct. 1 at the opening of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Hollywood Costume exhibit at Wilshire May Company Building in Los Angeles when she was asked by E! News if she would be dressing up for the upcoming Halloween.

The Dominican-American actress reportedly looked down, rubbed her baby bump a little bit and answered, "I might. I might need three costumes. I might have to make some adjustments, but it would be nice."

Meanwhile, while promoting her upcoming 3D computer-animated adventure comedy film "The Book of Life" over the weekend, Saldana told E! News that she has no choice but to be ready for motherhood.

"It's almost like a redundant question, because whether I'm ready for it or not, it's inevitable," she said. "I'm there. I'm in it. So, I'm gonna have to be ready."

"The one thing I keep telling myself is I don't ever want to overflow my cup of patience," she added. "Trying to become an adult before I become a mother is very important for me, because I don't want my bad day...to be my children's price to pay. I definitely don't want to do that."

Saldana, who secretly married the 36-year-old artist Perego in June 2013, also told Cosmo for Latinas that she will teach her children to be bilingual.

"Of course [our children] will speak the languages that we speak," she told the mag in its September issue. "My sisters and I grew up learning French and speaking English and Spanish, and because of that, we're able to understand Italian and Portuguese. But I'm going to have to make a conscious effort to speak Spanish to my children, because I speak Spanglish."
