Amanda Bynes took to Twitter Wednesday night, Oct. 8 to announce that she is planning to sue In Touch Weekly and Star Magazine for making up stories about her.
Earlier this week, In Touch Weekly published an article that they claimed to be an exclusive interview with the 28-year-old actress. In the report, the magazine said that the Nickelodeon child star believes there is a microchip in her brain. She was even quoted by the magazine, saying, "I want a dollar a day from every person who [is] reading my mind."
In the same story, In Touch Weekly claimed that the "Easy A" actress insisted to them that she needs a nose job after cysts were removed from her face. "I look so hideous. Everyone can use a little plastic surgery," the Thousand Oaks, California-born actress was quoted saying.
The magazine also claimed that Bynes told them that she was miserable living with her parents, and that she would rather be in jail than to live with them.
Bynes blasted this report in her most recent Twitter rant.
"Well I am suing In Touch for lying about me entirely," she tweeted. "I am not insane and they lied about me in every way. They continue to write lies about me and it really hurts my feelings because they are calling me insane and I'm actually really smart."
"I'm also suing Star magazine for doing the exact same thing and the true definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results," the actress added, noting that she already hired the best lawyer in New York City to sue the two publications.
"I will sue any one in the media who lies about me and says I ever gave them an interview when I never gave literally any magazine a quote," she wrote in a follow-up tweet.
Bynes also confirmed her engagement, writing, I am getting married and my boyfriend and I are going to be on the cover People magazine."
In another report by In Touch Weekly, the magazine claimed that Bynes was engaged to a 19-year-old man named Caleb, who lives in Costa Mesa, Calif., and works in a bait shop.
Bynes briefly dated Seth MacFarlane in 2008 despite their 12-year age difference, according to Hollywood.com.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday afternoon, Bynes was reportedly caught shoplifting at Barneys on Madison Ave. in New York, TMZ reported.
But later that day, she told People that the whole incident was just misunderstanding.
