Fox's new sitcom "Mulaney" has been noticed for its several similarities with the "Seinfeld" sitcom, according to Washington Post.

In one episode, the title character in the sitcom said he learned to talk to women from "Friends" character Ross Geller played by David Schwimmer.

Played by former "Saturday Night Live" writer John Mulaney, the 32-year-old character watches "Friends" reruns every night even describing it as "the biggest TV show of all time."

In a recent one-on-one interview with Vulture, Mulaney talked to his "Mulaney" co-actor Short about their Fox sitcom.

"I'd like to do to 14 seasons and win close to 80 Emmys. If I were to be humble," Mulaney jokingly told Short, who plays the mentor to the sitcom's title character.

Directed by Andy Ackerman and written by Mulaney and Julie Klausner, "Mulaney" also stars Elliot Gould, Zack Pearlman and Tessa Goss with "SNL" alums Nasim Pedrad and Seaton Smith as the title character's roommates.

"I gotta check it out. When's it on?" said Smith's character Motif who knows neither the character Ross nor the defunct TV show "Friends."

Meanwhile, Schwimmer is set to reunite with fellow "Friends" alum Matt LeBlanc in BBC's "Episodes" in 2015, according to The Sun.

"David and Matt shot scenes together earlier this year. It will be a great moment for 'Friends' fans to see them reminiscing about the good old days. But they are unlikely to be best of buds on screen," an insider told the publication.

This makes Schwimmer the first "Friends" alum to join LeBlanc on "Episodes" as a guest star since "Friends" ended in 2004.

Recently, Schwimmer and LeBlanc reunited with Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and Matthew Perry in London for the 20th anniversary of the hit sitcom.

Written by "Friends" co-creator David Crane, the story of "Episodes" revolves around LeBlanc's character who is struggling as an actor in a bad sitcom, according to OK! Magazine
