The fourth season of "Teen Wolf" came to a close last month without even unveiling Jordan Parrish's (Ryan Kelley) true identity and backstory. And while viewers must wait until next season to know more about the mysterious character, a new theory claims that the young deputy is actually Isaac Lahey's (Daniel Sharman) supposedly dead older brother, Camden Lahey.

Parrish, who is an army veteran in his early 20s, shares a striking number of similarities with Camden, who died in the service even before Isaac was introduced to the show. Some fans believe that Parrish's unclear history and regenerative powers suggest that he is indeed Camden, Enstarz reported.

When asked by MyFanBase if Kelley has any idea about the possibility of Parrish being Camden, the 28-year-old hunky actor answered: "I'm sure some fans would love for me to have some knowledge on this subject, [but] sadly I don't have the slightest clue."

"Up to this point in time I know exactly as much as the fans do," he explained. "As far as his background goes I really haven't created too much up in my mind, I just know he's a veteran who served in the Middle East prior to becoming a Deputy Sheriff and feeling "drawn" to Beacon Hills. I truly think Parrish is a good guy with a sense of duty and honor and trying to do what's right. As for any additional background on him I'm hoping, just like everyone else, that we will discover more soon enough."

Kelley, who is also known for his roles in "Mean Creek," "Prayers for Bobby," and as Ben Tennyson in "Ben 10: Alien Swarm," told TVLine in September that he did have an opportunity in the past to find out what Parrish really is.

"I had a sit-down with (creator) Jeff [Davis], and he asked me if I wanted to know, and I said, 'Of course! Please, please, please,'" the actor recalled. "[But] I could tell he was super hesitant, so I was like, 'Wait, do you want to tell me? Or are you just doing this because you feel bad for me?' He said, 'I don't really want to tell you, but I will if you want me to.' So I decided to wait."

"If I know, I can play the character differently," Kelley added.

When asked by TVLine if he has a theory on what Parrish is, he answered: "One of the big theories people seem to be latching onto is that he's a phoenix, just because of the ashes and the fire. I will tell you I don't personally think he's a phoenix, but I could be wrong. I don't think it's that simple, it just can't be."

Davis told Entertainment Weekly in September that Parrish's identity will be revealed next year, and it "will be a big part of the storyline."
