Considered to replace the late "Fashion Police" host Joan Rivers are "America's Next Top Model" host and creator Tyra Banks, "Real Housewives of Altlanta" star NeNe Leakes and several comediennes, Perez Hilton has learned.
"Fashion Police" will return on Jan. 12, 2015 for the Golden Globes so E! has three months to find Rivers' replacement, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Among the choices, only Banks has a fashion background as a supermodel and an award-winning talk show under her belt.
"The Tyra Banks Show" won Daytime Emmy awards as the Outstanding Talk Show Informative in 2008 and in 2009 and received nomination for GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Talk Show Episode in 2010 for its "Hell to Pay- Gay Teen Exorcism" episode.
Banks is still hosting "ANTM," which is now on its 21st cycle and second cycle featuring both male and female model contestants.
On the other hand, the comediennes considered to be the fourth "Fashion Police" host are Lisa Lampanelli, Amy Schumer and Rivers' 53-year-old protégé Kathy Griffin.
It is Leakes, however, who is reportedly the top pick to join Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne and George Kotsiopoulos in the said show.
Although she does not have Banks' hosting experience, Leakes also has a fashion background having started her own clothing line.
Meanwhile, the "RHOA" star's production company NeNe Leakes Entertainment is set to debut several new reality shows in 2015, Reality Tea reported.
Leakes' spinoff "I Dream Of NeNe: The Wedding," which she helped produce, is also reportedly returning on Bravo's line-up in 2015.
Both Rivers and Leakes are "The Celebrity Apprentice" alums. While Rivers won Season 8, Leakes quit in task 10 of Season 11, which was won by country music singer John Rich.
Upon learning Rivers' death, Leakes tweeted, "#RIP @Joanrivers I laughed so hard every time I was around you. Nobody could talk fashion wit a back handed slap better than u Joan."
