Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande and Jessie J's "Bang Bang" has officially landed on the number one spot on the UK charts for singles.
In the past, both Jessie J and Ariana Grande have already landed on the number one spot on the UK singles chart. This means that it is Nicki Minaj's first time to land on the same spot, according to Web Pro News.
Official Charts congratulated the three artists for the success of their single "Bang Bang" and tweeted, "Congratulations to @JessieJ @ArianaGrande and @NICKIMINAJ. Bang Bang is this week's Official Number 1 single."
Meanwhile, also on the list are other songs, including Sigma's "Changing" at number 2, Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" at number three and Calvin Harris' "Blame" at number 4, the Guardian reported.
Additionally, Meghan Trainor's hit song "All About That Bass" has become the first song to reach the top 40 without selling a single copy. The song ranked at number 33 mainly on the basis of digital streaming alone.
"All About That Bass" is a song that promotes body acceptance and self love. However, Trainor recently found herself in the midst of a huge controversy after she claimed that she is not a feminist, the same publication noted.
"I don't consider myself a feminist, but I'm down for my first opportunity to say something to the world to be so meaningful. If you asked me, 'What do you want to say?' it would be, 'Love yourself more," she told Billboard.
In a previous interview with Pop Justice, Trainor explained, "I would never shame a skinny person! I don't know who would want to. I don't know, man! I just wrote a fun song about loving your booty and loving your body! I never had a problem getting boys."
As of late, "All About That Bass" is ranked number one in the United States and 52 in the United Kingdom.
