Kanye West is continuing to serve out his community service by teaching students at Los Angeles Trade Technical College.
The 37-year-old rapper made another surprise visit to public community college Friday, Sept. 19, according to Bang Showbiz.
Kim Kardashian's husband spent about two hours speaking to a group of 40 students from the college's digital communications department, as well as troubled youth participating in a summer bridge program and may not have graduated from high school, E! News reported.
The 21-time Grammy-winning recording artist reportedly used the sessions to talk about his experiences and personal struggles in music, fashion and graphic arts, and more importantly about the significance of getting an education in an attempt to inspire them.
Andre Pitts III, one of West's students for the day, said that the "Bound 2" rapper did not come to teach a fashion class.
"It went on for about an hour and a half and Kanye discussed a lot of things but mainly about his inspirations," Pitts told Vice.com. "He mentioned Ice Cube being one of his biggest inspirations, but also one of his biggest let downs. He also discussed Steve jobs, 2Pac and his grandfather."
"I've listened to Kanye since I was younger," shared Pitts who has been studying Visual Communications at Trade Tech for almost two years. "But I can't rate him as a teacher because he didn't come to teach a fashion class, he just spoke about his inspirations. He didn't try to be a teacher, he simply spoke about how life really is."
When asked if there was any security procedures in place for the rapper's visit, Pitts answered: "We were instructed to put our bags on the floor and turn off our cell phones. The campus sheriffs were present inside and around the building too. We were able to use our phone for a brief amount of time during his speech then when it was Q&A time he told us to turn them off. My guess is because he knew he would be asked about the Illuminati."
This is the fourth time that West has appeared at the college to talk to students. His last visit was in June, E! News noted.
West pled no contest to one count of battery in connection to the 2013 suit filed against him by paparazzo Daniel Ramos, who accused the rapper of attacking him without any warning. In addition to the 240 hours of community service, he was also sentenced to 24 months probation and was ordered to complete 24 sessions of a level-two anger management program.
