Hackers have threatened to leak nude photos of the British actress Emma Watson in continuation of the massive malicious surfacing of private intimate images of celebrities that started in late August.

Watson, who starred in the successful "Harry Potter" movies, appears to be the latest prey of the extensive leak, which earlier victimized celebrities such as Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton and many others, according to Mirror.

The alleged hackers set up a new website to announce their possession of the alleged nude images of Watson. The website features a countdown timer, and according to it, there are less than five days left before the scheduled leak.

A picture of the actress wiping a tear is shown beside the digital timer. The words "Never forget, the biggest to come thus far" are written in capital letters on the bottom of the screen.

Over the weekend, alleged private photos of Rihanna, Amber Heard, Kim Kardashian, Gabrielle Union, Vanessa Hudgens and Meagan Good, among others, were leaked and posted to the websites 4chan and Reddit, according to TMZ.

Meanwhile, newly leaked photos of Lawrence, along with other previous victims Hope Solo and Kaley Cuoco were posted over the weekend as well. Alleged private videos of Lawrence and Aubrey Plaza were also said to have been shared online.

Amid the scandal surrounding the first set of leaked nude photos, Watson, 24, took to Twitter to defend Lawrence. She criticized the hackers and brash commenters on the private photos alike, according to the Independent.

"Even worse than seeing women's privacy violated on social media is reading the accompanying comments that show such lack of empathy," she tweeted earlier this month.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has mounted an investigation into the leaks, as has Apple, whose cloud storage service iCloud has been alleged to be where the breach took place.
