Karl Slatoff, president of Rockstar Games' parent company, Take-Two Interactive, explained that the company is confident that people will purchase the new version of "Grand Theft Auto 5" (GTA V) for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Game Spot reported.
According to the company president, despite selling millions of copies of GTA V, the studio believes a lot of people will still buy the latest version of the game because of its improved content.
"Yes, we have sold 34 million units, which is a lot of units," Slatoff said. "The obvious question is, 'Is there anyone else out there who would still buy it?'"
"We happen to believe that there are people out there who have not bought the title yet," he continued. "We think that GTA V on next-gen platforms could actually really move some hardware as well."
Aside from the game's improved graphics, Slatoff is banking on the new content additions in GTA V for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
According to previous reports, the latest version of the game will feature enhancements such as increased damage and weather effects, additional wildlife and denser traffic.
More importantly, the game carries new vehicles and weapons, according to Gaming Bolt.
"The world is going to feel more rich; it's going to be more vivid; it's going to be more alive," Slatoff said. "We think the value proposition will be very compelling."
Those who pre-order the latest version of the game for the PC and next-gen consoles will automatically receive $1,000,000 in-game bonus cash which can be spent in GTA V and "Grand Theft Auto Online" (GTA Online.)
According to Slatoff, this incentive is a way for the company to generate more income from the gamers' spending on GTA Online, Next Gen Update reported.
"The longevity, and our ability to generate income from GTA Online in the future, is really going to be dependent upon the content offerings that we continue to make," he said. "We have a long-term plan to continue to offer content to the consumer."
GTA V for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will arrive on Nov. 18 of this year. The PC version, however, will be released in January 2015.
