August Alsina is still in the hospital after experiencing multiple seizures following his collapse during his concert at Irving Plaza in New York City Monday, Sept. 15.

A rep for the 22-year-old hip hop recording artist told TMZ that Alsina is in the ICU of a New York City hospital and receiving treatment for the seizures. The rep added that doctors did not find any drugs, apart from marijuana, in Alsina's system. Doctors believe that his sudden collapse was caused by exhaustion and dehydration.

A member of his personal security, Terrance Holloway aka Big T, released a statement Tuesday morning, Sept. 16, via Instagram detailing the "I Luv This Sh-t" singer's condition and the reason for his collapse.

"Hey everybody! Alsina nation; all our auggies! This big T... just letting everybody know that yungin' is OK and making a full recovery... He was super dehydrated. he's good, he's stable, and sleeping like a baby! He gave me a thumbs up b4 I walked out of his room. I know y'all love my goon just as much as I do. Thank you for all ya prayers, tweets, IG love and all that. NY we owe u a few more songs... be back soon. Love - Big T," Holloway wrote.

Alsina's friends including 2 Chainz and tour mate Teyana Taylor took to social media to wish him well.

"God bless my lil bro @AugustAlsina," Tauheed Epps, better known by his stage name 2 Chainz and Tity Boi, tweeted.

Taylor, on the other hand, posted a photo of them two on Instagram with the following caption: "Yesterday was a long painful night...smh Headed back to the hospital to check my lil homie @augustalsina He's resting up. That's all he needs, it's been a long tour & incredible tour for us!! He appreciates everybody's love, support and prayers. Thank You Guys!"

The disturbing incident was captured in several fan videos that have been posted on Instagram and YouTube. These clips show Alsina wandering near the front of the stage mid-song before suddenly slumping over and falling onto the crowd barrier. He was not able to return on stage, and concert-goers quickly craned their heads to have a glimpse of the commotion as security guards rush to the scene, asking to cut the music.

Alsina seemed to have been in "fine form" prior to the incident, according to Billboard.

The show was the third of four concerts in Alsina's "Testimony Live" tour, which is set to wrap up on Sept. 21 in Kansas, according to Time.
