"Scandal" star Kerry Washington has revealed exciting new details about her character Olivia Pope.
Earlier this month, a new teaser for "Scandal" was unveiled and it featured Pope relaxing at the beach. The tag line read, "Where in the earth is Olivia Pope?" and this of course got millions of fans curious.
Now, Washington herself has dished on the fate of her character this upcoming season, according to E! News.
"I know where Olivia went, but I really don't know a lot. I'm actually glad we don't get like a full outline of the season, because then I don't have to feel bad about lying to people and not telling things. I don't know what's going on. All I have is through episode four, so I know a bit more than you do," Washington told the publication.
Meanwhile, the doting mother of one recently spoke about domestic violence in a recently released PSA, Fresnobee reported.
She said, "For many, many of those cases, 98 percent of those cases - the financial abuse is what keeps a woman trapped. Not being able to control your finances, destroying a woman's credit, jeopardizing her job."
As a new mom, Washington confirmed that she's getting inspiration from her own mother and show creator Shonda Rhimes herself, the same publication noted.
"I have really amazing role models and she-roes who have found ways to balance work and home life, and so I am just looking to them and trying to live in the amazing abundance of blessings that I have in my life right now," she said.
"Scandal" is slated for release this coming Thursday, September 25. Last season, three huge cliffhangers caught fans by surprise but Washington confirmed that all three would be thoroughly addressed this coming season four, ABC News noted.
"I can tell you that you will find out where the plane is going. And I can tell you there's going to be a lot of Abby this season. I've heard it's been called, 'The Year of Abby.'"
