Hilary Duff is not getting back together with former boyfriend Aaron Carter, reports Buzz Feed.
Months after Carter made headlines by declaring his love for Duff, the former "Lizzie McGuire" actress said in an interview that she does not feel the same way toward Carter.
Duff was taken aback when asked about how she feels toward Carter's desire to rekindle their romance.
"I was not expecting this question," Duff told Buzz Feed.
Although surprised, the 26-year old singer actress said she is aware of Carter's confession.
"He does, I keep seeing that, that he keeps doing that. I don't know how I feel. I mean, that was so long ago, and obviously I'm still married and I have a baby and we kind of just... Yeah, don't know each other. So, yeah...," Duff added.
Carter professed his love for Duff a few months ago on Twitter, according to She Knows.
The "I Want Candy" singer posted on his twitter account two statements that he confirmed to be about Duff.
"Don't be that stupid douche that loses the love of your life forever.. Like me...," wrote Carter.
"I'll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her. I don't care what ANY of you think," Carter added on a separate tweet.
In an interview with "Entertainment Tonight," Carter also mentioned his desire to have Duff back in his life.
"I don't know who she is today, she doesn't know who I am today, but I would sweep her off her feet if I ever got a chance to again and fix what I did wrong," said Carter.
Carter had a glimmer of hope to get Duff back when the former Disney star announced earlier this year that she and husband Mike Cormie intends to separate, according to She Knows.
After Duff and Cormie announced their separation, they were still seen together on several occasions. As of now, the pair is still trying to work on their marriage, according to Us Weekly.
