"Really Don't Care" hit maker Demi Lovato announced on Sept. 9, Tuesday, she is giving her fans her album "DEMI," which includes a bonus track cover of an Ed Sheeran song, for free.
In partnership with Google Play, Lovato wrote on Twitter, "SERIOUS NEWS!!! To thank u guys for all the love u show me, I've teamed up w @GooglePlay to giveaway DEMI fo FREE!!!!"
Recorded at the Capital FM Studio in London, a live version of Sheeran's "Give Me Love" with acoustic treatment of only a guitar and piano background has been included in the free album, which will feature Lovato's hits "Really Don't Care," "Heart Attack" and "Nightingale."
Earlier this year, Lovato and Sheeran had a duet performance of "Give Me Love" at the Big Night Out of 104.3 FM, Music Times reported.
For one week after her announcement, the "DEMI" album can be downloaded in the Google Play store free of charge.
Before Lovato, Katy Perry and Kanye West have also partnered with Google Play to offer their albums for free, according to ET Online.
Aside from giving out her "DEMI" album for free, Lovato also announced she and Nick Jonas are collaborating for the second time around after their first collaboration song "Avalanche."
"Recently we found, I had an hour, one hour free and then I had made other plans (when Jonas hit me up and) said, 'What are you doing?' and I was like, 'Uh, I have an hour, I'm just going to get food or something.' And he's like, 'Come to the studio,'" Lovato told MTV.
When Lovato came to the studio, she heard Jonas' new music and was obsessed.
"Then it just evolved into this song that we recorded together on one microphone at the same time and it was very stripped down, very acoustic and it was a song called 'Afterglow,'" Lovato recalled.
Written and recorded within two to three hours, "Afterglow" is about "not knowing what's going to happen but knowing that there's feelings and just going for it anyways because you can foresee the glowing aftereffect of finally being together," according to Lovato.
