Britney Spears' camp is threatening Cali Lee, the porn star with whom the singer's former boyfriend David Lucado cheated, by trying to tell her that the "Baby One More Time" hitmaker is so "rich and powerful" that she can "destroy" her if she reveals something about the cause of the ex-couple's breakup, TMZ reported.
The 32-year-old singer's legal team reportedly sent a vicious letter to Lee, informing her that Lucado signed a confidentiality agreement with Spears, so anything that the Virginia-based lawyer told Lee during their affair must not be revealed to the public.
"Rest assured that our client has the resources and the resolve to pursue this matter no matter what the financial cost or outlay in time," read a portion of the letter, which was obtained by the celebrity gossip website.
But the letter makes no sense, since Lee is not bound by the confidentiality agreement that Lucado signed. In fact, Lee's lawyer has told her that she can say whatever she wants, TMZ reported.
Lee is a 5 foot, 96 pound Latina who has been in the porn business since 2009. Lee, who has starred in "Itty Bitty Boobies," "8th Street Latinas Vol. 20," "Fresh Outta High School 14" and other classic adult films, reportedly met with Lucado at a bar near Spears' house, The Hollywood Gossip reported.
Lucado reportedly claimed that they were on a break when he was videotaped making out with Lee.
"The tape is shocking," a source told The Hollywood Gossip. "David is slow dancing with the woman, sweeping her off her feet and passionately making out with her. What's worse is that there are rumored to be other videotapes and other women out there as well... she was ready to marry him. Now she's totally destroyed."
A representative for Spears' father, Jamie, previously told TMZ that he immediately contacted the agency that was selling the controversial cheating video the moment he learned about it, and splashed a "substantial" amount of money to secure it. He then reportedly showed it to her daughter who, after seeing the footage, instantly declared her relationship with Lucado over.
Meanwhile, on Aug. 28 - the same day that Spears revealed her breakup from Lucado on Twitter - it was confirmed that the singer has renewed her contract with RCA, and that she is writing and recording new music, Variety reported.
