For the latest Suno Spring 2015 show, Kérastase Lead Artist Odile Gilbert created a glossy cage herringbone braid look using products from the brand's iconic Couture Styling collection, including the new Laque Noire anti-humidity hairspray.

Fashion Week daily describes the latest collection as "feminine florals, and an abundance of prints in smart variations of the basics, like stripes and plaid."

But when it comes to the hair, the braid is back with a vengance! This clever style is easier than it looks, explaining its universal charm and crowning popularity.

Check out the easy to follow step-by-step tutorial below to try the look on for size yourself!

SUNO - Spring 2015 New York Fashion Week

Hair by Odile Gilbert for Kérastase Paris

Overall look: Glossy Cage Herringbone Braid

Steps:

On dry hair, create a deep part using a tail comb

Starting at the roots, apply a generous amount of Forme Fatale ($36) to the top half of the hair for a voluminous, wet look.

Form Fatale is a blow-dry gel with an extra-fine texture that perfectly shapes hair to give all-over volume and body that lasts.

Next, start to comb hair back in an upwards wave on each side and secure with clips.

Create a cage herringbone braid by parting the dry ends into three sections. Begin crossing the lengths over each other and underneath.

Loosely deconstruct the braid for added volume and a lived in feel.

Spray hair all over with Laque Noire ($37) for hold. This is a new anti-humidity super shield fixing hairspray from the line.

Finish with Gloss Appeal ($37) for instant shine. It's a glossy top coat that gives a perfectly smooth, even luster with mirror-like shine for a couture finish.

The beauty about the herringbone braid is it looks way more coplicated than it actually is. Plus, leaving the braid in for a day or two brings the added style of sexy waves you can rock afterwards. This is definitely a two-for-the-price-of-one style!

Loving the intricacy of these romantic braids as much as we are? Planning on ripping this look from the runway?
