Kim Kardashian has been crowned the Woman of the Year at the annual GQ Men of the Year awards ceremony held in London Tuesday, Sept. 2.

The 33-year-old "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star, who attended the event with husband Kanye West according to TooFab, accepted her trophy with a short yet sweet speech.

"It's Kim Kardashian West," she said, emphasizing her name change. "I want to thank GQ for making me Woman of the Year, and my husband for making me feel like woman of the year every day."

But why exactly did Kardashian get the honor? Below is the men's magazine's explanation:

"It's been quite the year for Mrs. Kardashian West. She gave birth to her first child, North West, married her rapper boyfriend, Kanye, in one of the most lavish ceremonies on record, and made the transition from 'just another' reality TV star to bona fide media sensation. It wouldn't be wrong to claim that, right now, she's the most famous woman in the world."

Kardashian joins previous winners like Lana Del Rey and Emma Watson, Pop Dust noted.

To celebrate Kardashian's new award, British GQ released a completely nude spread from the star in the same night.

The racy snapshots show North West's mama totally naked, strategically covering all of her private parts using her arms, a pair of baby pink stilettos and gray satin sheets, E! News reported. See four of the steamy photos here.

The photographs were apparently taken some time ago, as she was still blonde in the extremely sexy shoot.

This is not the first time Kardashian posed completely naked for a magazine. Most recently, she and her 37-year-old husband posed naked for French magazine L'Officiel Hommes before welcoming their daughter.

British GQ's September issue, which includes Kardashian's series of nude photographs, is now available online and will hit newsstands Thursday, Sept. 4.
